Trip Overview

About This Journey

Six days along Sri Lanka's laid-back south coast — a UNESCO fort, blue whales offshore and enough beach time to actually unwind. This is the slowest-paced trip in our lineup, built for travelers who want fewer stops and more sunsets.

Base yourself in two boutique beach stays and let the coastline do the work, with just enough structure to see the highlights without feeling like a checklist.

Good To Know

Trip FAQs

Are whale sightings guaranteed?

No sighting can be guaranteed, but Mirissa has one of the highest success rates for blue whales anywhere in the world during peak season (Nov–Apr).

Is this trip good for non-swimmers?

Yes — beach time is unstructured and the whale-watching boat requires no swimming, though snorkeling is optional if you'd rather stay on the sand.

Can I skip Unawatuna and stay longer in Mirissa?

Of course — the itinerary is a starting point and we're happy to shift nights between the two beach towns.
